Fang Shen Do in Europe

I've always wanted to tour Europe. Not just for sightseeing but to have a chance to share our art with the Europeans.

As I've mentioned in past e-mails (Power of Dreams), you can accomplish anything you set your mind to.

As we've proven time and time again, we do what we say we are going to do.

If I'm going to say that our system helps people get what they want, get fit, have success in all areas of their lives, and live the life of their dreams well it starts with me and my family.

It all starts in your imagination, just like my dad went from hitch hiking to Ottawa with a gym bag and a dream to building the largest network of schools in Canada. From being literrally unknown in the martial arts to being featured in International Magazines and now a European Tour.

Publishing and selling well over 3000 of our own books (when it takes 1000 books sold to become a best seller in Canada).

Creating a slew of products for local, US and International clients.

My dad has a tag line: "If you can do it so can I".

So what are you waiting for? If we can do it so can you.

What do you want to look like physically and how fit do you want to become?

What kind of partner do you want?

Where do you want to live?

Who do you look up to, who do you consider a mentor and when will you meet them in person?

What would be your dream job or business?

Start dreaming. Dreams really do become a reality when you back it up with passion and commitment.

Something to think about today,

Aim Higher,

Sifu Martin

P.S During the next week I'll be keeping you posted on our travels in France.
I'll be filling the Blog section with pictures and updates. Stay Tuned!

It's Louse Time!

As many new subscribers join our list every week I want to explain what happens on Fridays.

If you've been on the list for a while jump right to the next paragraph. Friday is "Louse Time".
Where I share with you Life Lessons and Direction given to me by my dad (and Sifu) every Friday. It's a chance for you to have a sneak peek at my weekly tutelage.

Today's lesson is very important.

With it you can be happier, more fulfilled, and focused. You can also make better decisions. You can avoid waste in time and energy. You can really get what you want.

What do YOU want?

Today's lesson is "Know Yourself"

When you look at yourself in the mirror or you happen to be in a quiet place alone, you cannot lie to yourself.

Spend some quiet time alone daily.

Especially during the summer months there's no excuse to not go outside in the morning and sit under a tree or sit on the porch steps and meditate.

Turn your attention inward and ask yourself some important questions. Questions like: "Am I really doing what I was born to do?

At the center core, who are you?

Are you a doer? Are you a quitter? Are you a complainer? Are you determined? Do you look for excuses or solutions? Do you take responsibility or blame others? Do you see and feel yourself succeeding?

All good questions to ponder about tomorrow morning when you go outside to meditate.

For other ideas and meditation techniques you can get our meditation course right here.

Know Yourself,

Sifu Martin

Increase the power of your mind

If you've been following my e-mails for a while you'll remember me talking about Mushin and Shoshin states.

They are critical to your development both in martial arts or in your physical training.

Remember Mushin state stands for: "Fully present in the moment". Not to be stuck in the past or drifting in the future but being fully involved in the NOW moment. A pure state of mind, like when a young baby plays with a new toy.

And Shoshin stands for: "Beginner's Mind". To undertake any task how ever mundane or repetitive with child like optimism as if you were doing it for the first time, every time.

Today I wanted to focus on Fudoshin.

Before I dive into it, I believe weakness in this area is the reason so many people don't get the results they are looking for either when they start training in martial arts or when they start making fitness and conditioning a # 1 priority.

Some of you never get fully immersed in the training. Do not allow the mind to wander.

When you START training everything is fine. It's new and exciting.

But something happens after a while, for some it's after 1 month, others it's after 12 mths.

The mind steps in and starts questioning what you're doing, discourages you at times, tempting you to do nothing on your training day. After all, you're tired right? You should sleep in today?
You'll do it tomorrow?

Fudoshin stands for : "Immoveable Mind"

Let nothing distract you or take you off course. Know where you're going and go there with full commitment and intensity.

Our strength training program teaches you how to stay focused, never allowing your mind to wander. Try it and let me know your progress.

Master Yourself,

Sifu Martin
